Recognised for excellence, Oakfield stands out as a leading family-owned contracting entity esteemed for its operations across the East Midlands.
Over the span of 37 years, Oakfield has evolved beyond its core construction focus. Our service portfolio now includes Tipper Hire, Grab Hire, Lowloader Hire, and garage Maintenance services. Moreover, we’ve established Oakfield’s Recycling Centre, accessible to both the public and industry professionals.
With a large team, abundant resources, extensive experience, and remarkable organisational capacity, we possess the ability to proficiently manage projects of all scales.

Our History
In the beginning, we operated as Sub-Contractor Engineers, collaborating with both local Ground Working Contractors and larger National Construction Companies. As our company evolved, we transitioned to engaging in Civil Engineering and Groundwork projects, catering to both local enterprises and prominent National firms.
Despite our growth, our enthusiasm for Site Engineering has persisted. Presently, we continue to provide Site Engineering services and conduct Surveys for numerous clients. This aspect of our business remains dear to us and is integral to our identity.
Charity & Community
Our deep commitment to the local community is a source of immense pride for us. We actively engage by offering work experiences, apprenticeships, and collaborating with schools in the area. Simultaneously, we extend our support to local charitable groups. In partnership with Switch Up, a reputable Nottingham-based charity focused on youth development, Oakfield creates avenues for employment opportunities.
Accreditations and Health & Safety
We possess prestigious accreditations typical of a Construction Contractor, such as CHAS, SMAS, Builders Profile, Considerate Construction Scheme, Construction Line, and FORS. Our services also encompass tailored pre-job Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS), and we excel in conducting thorough internal and external BSG audits throughout the project duration.
Sustainability
We are fully committed to exceeding expectations in minimising our carbon footprint through various initiatives, including adopting the latest emission standards for our vehicles, monitoring fuel consumption closely, transitioning to electric vehicles, and embracing a paperless operational approach. We also prioritise a sustainable supply chain, aligning materials with WRAP protocol and adhering to quality standards. Our goal is to achieve Gold FORS accreditation, showcasing our dedication to sustainability and excellence.
