As some of you may be aware we have decided to take on the gruelling challenge that is the LONDON MARATHON 2020 … again (we must be mad!!!).
With only 12 weeks to go our training is well underway (despite some serious injuries!)…
We have decided to run the marathon for Children with Cancer, a charity we feel very passionately about and the impact they have on so many lives.
We are currently facing the sad reality that EVERYDAY in the UK 12 children are diagnosed with the big C… As today is World Cancer Day 2020 we ask you to stand with us and help with our fundraising in a bid to commit to help achieve a world where every child survives!!! 💛💚🧡💙💜❤️

Oakfield Plant and Transport Ltd were proud to play a small part in remembering ‘The Flying Bedstead’ this afternoon by assisting the team at the Rolls Royce Heritage centre to deliver a half scale model to the neighbouring school ‘Hucknall Flying High Academy’ due to open its doors tomorrow.
The Rolls-Royce Trust Measuring Rig (TMR), Otherwise known as the Flying Bedstead, was an experimental aircraft that was first flown on August 2, 1954 and used in the early development of VTOL (vertical takeoff-and-landing) aircraft also known as the Harrier Jump Jet.
The TMR was the WORLDS FIRST jet powered, vertical take off and landing aircraft.
