The miles are clocking up and the London Marathon is fast approaching, 28th April 2019 is the day that #TEAMOAKFIELD will take on 26 miles around the capital.
With just a £1 donation you are helping improve the lives of children living with cancer.
We would like to wish Bob Charlton a long and happy retirement. Thanking you for 3 years service of a job well done at Oakfield Recycling Ltd All the best from Oakfield Construction ?
London Marathon
The big day is fast aproaching! and we are stepping up the game in our fundraising efforts, bake sale taking place in Oakfield HQ in aid of Children with Cancer UK.
Team Oakfield have successfully secured charity places with Children with Cancer UK in the London Marathon 2019 (our first ever marathon!) and our aim is to raise £7,500 for this deserving charity.
Talor and Kelsey are running for Macmillan- Link: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Team/LONDONMARATHONFIRSTTIMERS.
But we’ll all be running the course together on the 29th April!
Every
day 12 families in the UK receive the devastating news that their child
has cancer. We want to run the 26.2 mile race both to honour the
bravery of the thousands of children in the face of the cruellest of
illnesses and to support the vital research into the causes and
treatment of cancer that Children with Cancer UK provide.
Training
stepped up a gear in the new year with plenty of long and lonely runs.
While the training is tough, it is such a fantastic opportunity to raise
lots of money!! We’ll put ourselves through the pain and (seemingly
never ending) training plan if you can support us with our fundraising
goals (every penny seriously counts). We’ll keep you updated with our
training and fundraising ideas as we look forward and prepare for the
BIG DAY!
So please all rattle your pockets and spare any donations you can to help another child ring the end of treatment bell!
Our ultimate motivation is that if a child can go through multiple rounds of chemotherapy, then we can run a marathon.
Thank you for your donations, little or large, we really are hugely appreciative!!!

Considerate Constructors
We are pleased to announce we are now part of the Considerate Constructors scheme.
The construction industry has a huge impact on all our lives, with most construction work taking place in sensitive locations. If all construction sites and companies presented an image of competent management, efficiency, awareness of environmental issues and above all neighbourliness, then they would become a positive advertisement, not just for themselves but for the industry as a whole.
The Code of Considerate Practice commits those sites, companies and
suppliers registered with the Scheme to care about appearance, respect
the community, protect the environment, secure everyone’s safety and
value their workforce.
Leigh Wood
Great to see Leigh Wood & his new belt, today at the Oakfield Construction

clinching the Commonweath featherweight title with a two-round
